Dursley Visitors' Map

Earlier this year we had the pleasure of adapting our large-format Dursley visitor map into a handy A3-sized litho-printed paper map. Staff at the town council designed the ‘design side', and we adapted the map to suit. The reverse is populated with a comprehensive list of events and attractions available to visitors – and residents – throughout the year.

This colourful illustrated map presents Dursley and its surrounding countryside in a clear, visitor-friendly style, combining detailed street mapping with shaded relief that emphasises the dramatic hills and valleys of the Cotswold escarpment. The historic town centre is shown alongside residential neighbourhoods, parks, woodlands and open countryside, while an enlarged inset provides extra detail of the main shopping streets and key public buildings. Walking is a central theme, with the Cotswold Way National Trail, Sculpture Trail, public footpaths and bridleways clearly marked to encourage exploration on foot. A comprehensive legend identifies attractions, heritage sites, churches, schools, recreation grounds, viewpoints, car parks, public toilets, transport links and other visitor facilities. The map also highlights nearby landmarks such as Stinchcombe Hill, Cam Peak and Cam Long Down, helping visitors appreciate both Dursley's distinctive landscape and its role as an excellent base for discovering the surrounding countryside and historic market town.
