Working closely with Sustrans, we produced a simplified basemap, in a muted palette, which focuses the user’s attention on this iconic, mainly traffic-free route - part of Sustrans’ National Cycle Network. The purpose of the map is to highlight the way in which the Comber Greenway can be easily accessed from a variety of locations and used by cyclists and pedestrians for both commuting and leisure purposes. Therefore, linking routes, access points and key locations are clearly shown, along with cycle facilities such as bike service stations and bike parking. An inset, concentrating on CS Lewis Square, provides further detail. A user-friendly scale-bar gives a useful indication of time/distance. The design on the reverse features activities promoted by Sustrans in the area.
