Working closely with Sustrans and the Gwent Public Health Team we created a series of 13 leaflets. Each one focused on a particular hospital in the region of Gwent and was aimed at supporting staff to improve their health and well-being. Double-sided, the leaflets included a ‘wider area’ map on one side, centred on the hospital, showing cycle routes available within the locality. We added isochrones to give a clear indication of time/distance for both walking and cycling, encouraging sustainable travel to and from the hospital and showing opportunities for recreational cycling.
The reverse side featured a site map detailing the main buildings within the site and cycling facilities available. The site maps also included walking routes to encourage staff to explore and enjoy the local area during their breaks. All leaflets were bi-lingual.
